Audrey D. Schierer, 77

WYOMING - Audrey D. Schierer of Wyoming died Monday, Nov. 6, 2006, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 77.

Mrs. Schierer was born Dec. 22, 1928, in Wilmington, daughter of the late Samuel and Bessie Craig Kauffman.

She worked as a branch manager for the Delaware Motor Club AAA in Dover for several years before retirement. She also worked part-time in the office of Joseph Jackewicz Farms in Rising Sun.

Her hobbies included cooking, visiting her grandchildren and traveling.

Mrs. Schierer was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Dover where she volunteered in the food pantry. She was also a member of the Camden-Wyoming Moose Lodge Chapter 1546 and the Modern Maturity Center in Dover and enjoyed helping with Meals-On-Wheels.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her second husband, Duane J. Schierer in 2000; her first husband, Adam Keller in 1961; a sister, Nancy Strab; and two brothers, Walter Kauffman and Samuel Kauffman.

She is survived by a son and a daughter-in-law, Wayne G. Sr. and Terri Keller of Milton; a sister and a brother-in-law, Betty Ann and Marvin Swain of Bear; three grandsons, Wayne G. Keller, Jr. and his wife, Sarah of Scarborough, Maine, Christopher Keller of Annapolis, Md., and Michael Keller of Milton; and a special friend, Adriano "Ben" Benini of Dover.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Holy Cross Church, 631 South State St. Dover, where friends may call one hour earlier.

Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery, Wilmington.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Holy Cross Church, 631 South State Street Dover, DE 19901.
