MILFORD - Arthur D. Morgan passed peacefully Monday, Dec. 15, 2014. He was born June 16, 1930 in Scranton, Pa., son of the late Thomas and Eleanor Morgan and raised in Newark, N.J. He served 28 years in the US Air Force and was a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam War. He was employed by Young & Revel for many years and returned to Dover AFB in a civilian position for another 12 years until 1992. Art loved traveling to Scranton, Pa, his Phillies and serving his Lord at St. John's for over 25 years. Art is also preceded by his wife Avis Morgan, his brothers, Thomas and William; and sister, Betty Ann. He is survived by his daughters, Wanda Morgan James and Linda Gober, (husband David), stepson Richard Farley, (wife Pat); his two granddaughters, Julee Farley and Danielle James, whom he adored; sister-in-law, Lorraine Morgan; and several nieces and nephews. Art's family expresses their gratitude to his wonderful caregivers. Friends may call on Friday, December 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, Del. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Johns R C Church, 506 Seabury Avenue, Milford, Del. Interment will be in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica, Del. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions accepted in Art's name to St. Johns RC Church, 506 Seabury Avenue, Milford, Del. 19963.
