Arnold 'Arnie' Yoder
A Legacy of Craftsmanship
and Joy (1942-2023)
"I get up every morning and read the obituary column. If my name is not there, I eat breakfast." -George Burns
Today, Arnold J. Yoder of Greenwood, DE, would find his name here. Arnie, as he was affectionately called, passed into eternity on Saturday, November 25, 2023.
He is survived by his wife, June (Willey) Yoder; daughter, Sheila Pritchett (Kevin) of Bridgeville, DE; and son, Rodney Yoder (Holly) of Landenberg, PA. The son of dairy farmers Clyde and Iva (Schrock) Yoder of Greenwood, Arnie has a host of siblings and an expanded family that includes grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom loved him and will cherish his memory.
The family is grateful to his relatives, friends, customers, business associates of Arnold's Cabinet Shop, Inc. with over 50 years of business, as well as the medical personnel of Beebe Healthcare System and the University of Pennsylvania. He was a peaceful, humble, and patient man – a wonderful example to all humans.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests ordering a meal at a locally-owned restaurant, teasing the waitress, and leaving a decent tip.
His viewing is planned for Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Framptom Funeral Home - Fleischauer Chapel in Greenwood from 6-8 pm. On Friday December 8, a visitation at 10 am with funeral to follow at 11 am is also planned.
