WYOMING - Arlis Ruby Bryant Wolf, 100, passed away Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011 in the presence of her daughters, granddaughters, and great grandchildren. One hundred years ago she was born on February 15, 1911 in Zephyr, N.C. to John and Mary Emmy Isaacs Bryant. Arlis enjoyed getting together with her sisters to make handmade quilts for her family using her embroidering and cross stitch squares she had completed. As her family grew, her home was always a gathering point on Sunday afternoons for food and play with lots of teasing by Jim, John and Iven. She especially enjoyed watching baseball with her sons and family. May we always remember her quiet strength and strong spirit as she asked for little from her 100 years of life but gave much to her family. She married Cummins Wolf in 1931 and raised a family of seven children: John Wolf, James Wolf, Georgia Irwin, Ellen Cavins, Minnie Cubbage, Doris Brown and Iven Wolf. She is survived by daughter and her husband, Georgia and Chandler Irwin of Chesapeake City, Md; daughter and her husband, Ellen and Phil Cavins of Dover; daughter and her husband, Doris and Jaye Brown of Wyoming; sister, Iona Brown (98) of Wyoming; 19 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and seven great great-grandchildren. Remembrance Services will be 12 noon, Wednesday, Nov., 23, 2011 at Trader Funeral Home in Dover. Where friends may call one hour prior. Burial will be at the Sharon Hill Memorial Park Dover. The family request that memorial contributions be given to Seasons Hospice, 253 Lewis Lane, Havrede Grace, MD 21078 or Delaware Hospice, 911 South Du Pont Hwy., Dover, DE 19901 Letters of condolences may be sent to www.delmarvaobits.com or traderfh@aol.com
