Anthony "Tony" Sturnialo, 82

DOVER - Anthony "Tony" Sturnialo of Dover died Sunday, July 15, 2007, at Christiana Care-Christiana Hospital, Newark. He was 82.

Mr. Sturnialo was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., son of the late Peter and Teresa Sturnialo.

He proudly served in the U.S. Navy, and was a veteran of World War II.

Mr. Sturnialo later worked as a printer in New York until in injury caused his retirement in 1980.

He and his wife moved from Staten Island, N.Y., to Dover in 2004.

Mr. Sturnialo is survived by his wife of 61 years, Theresa Sturnialo of Dover; two sons, Peter and his wife Nancy of Staten Island, and Anthony of Dover; two daughters, Lorraine Iacone and her husband Philip of Dover, and Teresa Palumbo and her husband Domenick of Staten Island; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m., and again from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday in the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10 a.m. Friday in Holy Cross Catholic Church, South State Street, Dover.

Private burial will be in the Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, at the convenience of the family.
