MILFORD - Anthony "Rocky" Burton, died Sunday, July 5, 2009, in Milford. He was 17. Rocky was born in Baltimore, Md., on March 23, 1992. He was a student at Polytech High School in Woodside. He loved attending local shows kids throw at the fire station. He enjoyed all kinds of music. He was inspired to be a music producer or psychiatrist. He loved spending time with his friends. He is survived by his parents, Clyde and Carolyn Adkins Oxendine of Milford; brothers, Donald Burton III and his wife Kay, and David Burton and his fiancé' Ann Marie Ridenour; sister, Carol Ann Burton; loving aunt, Ann Marie; uncle, John Hough; two loving cousins, John McDowell and Stephanie McDowell; loving uncle, Jason Eden and his wife Tamara and their children; maternal grandparents, Walter and India Spera; and many relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2009 and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2009 in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 N.W. Front St., Milford. Funeral Services will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be private. Instead of flowers, please send donations to the Anthony "Rocky" Burton memorial scholarship fund through the Aquila School, 1812 Newport Gap Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808.
