Annette M. Thomas, 74 WYOMING - Annette M. Thomas, of Wyoming, died Saturday, June 12, 2010, in Bayhealth at Kent General Hospital in Dover. She was 74. Mrs. Thomas was born on March 12, 1934, in Felton, to the late William Lane and Elizabeth Darling Lane. Mrs. Thomas worked in the cafeteria of Nellie Stokes Elementary School in the Caesar Rodney School District, for the State of Delaware for 30 years. She was a Charter Member of the Camden/Wyoming Moose Lodge and a large supporter of the A.S.P.C.A. Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her parents, William in 1982 and Elizabeth in 2007; and her son, Durant Paul Thomas, Jr. in 1988. She is survived by a daughter, Sandy Smith and her husband Tim of Camden; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Hanges of Magnolia; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Scott and her husband Michael, Nikki Smith, Sara Thomas, Krissy Smith, Katie Smith, Alexis Smith, and AJ Hanges. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren, Michael and Lauren Scott; an aunt, Dorothy Chadwich of Harrington; two cousins, Ruth Ann Smith of Kilgore, Texas, and Francis Darling and his wife Helen of Salisbury, Md. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, June 17, 2010, at the Torbert Funeral Chapel, South, 1145 E. Lebanon Rd., Dover. A visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday evening at the Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica. In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorial contributions be made to Kent Co. S.P.C.A., 32 Shelter Circle, Wyoming, DE 19934.
