DOVER -Anne U. Kuipers, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, in Silver Lake Center, Dover. She was 84. She was born Sept. 5, 1924, in Passaic, N.J., to Frank and Anna (Ritock) Simon. As a young child she moved from Passaic to Henderson, Md., are where her family owned and operated a farm. In 1949, she moved to Delaware eventually settling in Dover. She had served as Secretary for International Playtex Corp., where she retired after 30 years for service. She had been a long time member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and had been a member of the Dover Modern Maturity Center. A dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, Mrs. Kuipers will be greatly missed. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Edwin P. Kuipers, in 1964. She leaves behind her loving son, Edwin P. and spouse Christine Kuipers of Wilmington, and two grandchildren, Dr. Edwin S. Kuipers and Katherine Kuipers both of Wilmington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Cross Church, S. State St., Dover. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover. Arrangements are by Michael J. Ambruso Funeral Director, Inc., Dover.
