DOVER - Anne Gargiulo, of Dover, died Saturday, July 14, 2012 at her daughter's residence in Bear, Del. Born in Jersey City, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Robert and Christina Adamo Hammond. Anne had resided in Bogota, N.J. prior to moving to Dover, Del. Since moving to Dover she had been an active member of the BPO Elks Lodge of Dover, the Red Hats Society, and was fondly known as the Comedy Queen of Comedy Night at the Wild Meadows Community. She also enjoyed arts & crafts and will be remembered for her love of cooking. Anne had been a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Eugene R. Gargiulo, who died in February of 2010. Anne leaves her two loving children and their spouses, Stephen R. and wife Rita Gargiulo of Dover, and Christine F. and husband James Gubitosi of Bear, Del. She is also survived by her two wonderful grandchildren, Samantha and Tyler Gubitosi of Bear, Del. Friends may call Tuesday July 17, 2012 at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St. Dover, DE from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and again from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bogota, N.J. where Anne had been a longtime active member.
