MARYDEL, Del. - Annabelle Elizabeth Lutton, of Marydel, died Monday, June 13, 2011, at Kent General Hospital. She was 85. Mrs. Lutton was born March 6, 1926, in Philadelphia, to the late Edward Frances Biddle and Caroline Elizabeth Skath Biddle. She worked in food service for 10 years at Kent County Vo-tech. Mrs. Lutton was past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star. She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church, Marydel, Md., and was an active member of the church choir. Mrs. Lutton was a life member of the Marydel Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She loved spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Lutton, April 9, 2007; and granddaughter, Andrea Loatman. She is survived by a son, Gary H. Lutton and his wife Pamela Lutton of Star, S.C.; three daughters, Janet Marion Hewitt and her husband John "Rusty" of Barclay, Md., Carolyn Elizabeth Van Hekle and her husband Richard of Dover, Erika C. Lutton and her husband James Adams of Seaford; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Lutton – Rager of Felton; grandchildren, Shaun Lutton, Chrissy Lee, Matthew Lutton, Tom Reynolds, Laurie Wilcutts, Kristi Lankford, Shea Rodan, Hilary, Janette Hewitt, Kyle Van Hekle; great-grandchildren, Nate Bohn, Mikayla and Cody Lee, Robert, Rebecca and Katie Lankford, Thomas Reynolds Jr., Sydney Hewitt and Joey and Josh Short; and niece and nephew, Joanne Freeman and Jimmy Blaine. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, June 18, 2011, with an Eastern Star service at 12:45 p.m., at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.
