Anna M. Grow passed away peacefully on January 22, 2021, surrounded by family. Anna was born in Baltimore, Md. and was predeceased by her parents, Edmund T. Cunningham and M. Mary Cunningham.
Anna dedicated her life to her family as their shining light. Her constant support and overwhelming optimism served as a model of unconditional love. Anna learned early in life that family was most valuable and most important. She continued to impart this lesson through her words and actions to the generations of family that followed her. In 1991 she married the love of her life, Bill Grow. Anna was a devoted wife and mother, and she was blessed to live the life that she wanted. While raising her family was the most important thing in Anna's life, her everlasting legacy was in her role as MomMom. She celebrated the rapid growth of her large family throughout the rest of her life. She constantly reminded all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren how special and loved they were and that they must remain true to themselves.
Anna always enjoyed spending time with her family. She opened her heart and home to many over the years. Anna loved crossword puzzles, shopping and especially listening to her favorite songs that reminded her of her children. She also looked forward to her travels to Rhode Island and camping trips.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 30 years, Bill Grow; her four children, Robert H. Hill (Melissa), Ronald J. Hill (Diane), Teri L. Owens (Tim) and Brian L. Hill; grandchildren, Ashley, Kristen, Taylor, Amanda, Timmy, Austin, Jenna, Brian Jr. and Delaney; and her beloved 12 great-grandchildren and two more on the way. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Barnes; father-in-law, Bud Grow; friend and caregiver, Geri Grow; many nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
The family would like to extend their thanks to their friends in the community for their love and support. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her love and understanding.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 1145 E. Lebanon Rd. (Rt. 10), Dover. Friends may call from 12-2 p.m. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery in Smyrna.
At Anna's request, attire should be casual/comfortable, however, measures such as occupancy limits, face masks and social distancing will be required.
In lieu of flowers, Anna requested contributions be made to the Crohns & Colitis Foundation.
Letters of condolence may be sent and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com
