Anna Antoinette Lightsey, 84 DOVER - Anna Antoinette Lightsey, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2010, in Silverlake Center, Dover. She was 84. Mrs. Lightsey was born August 4, 1925 in New York, N.Y., daughter of the late Charles A. and Anna E. Krimsky. She worked for the Non-appropriated Funds Financial Management Office on Dover Air Force Base for 35 years, retiring in 1990. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Dover. Mrs. Lightsey enjoyed reading mystery novels, knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, and most any type of handicraft. She loved solving brick by brick word puzzles, and most other word and number puzzles. She never missed her favorite television shows even the reruns; Murder She Wrote, Matlock, and Little House on the Prairie. She loved animals and enjoyed watching the birds outside her window, as well as the many canine visits she received in the nursing home. Mrs. Lightsey was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Lightsey in 1989; and her brother, Charles W. Krimsky. She is survived by her daughter, Jeanette Lightsey of Dover; a sister, Alice M. McDuff and her husband Marvin W. of St. Petersburg, Fla.; her sister-in-law, Mamie Manson of Greenwood, S.C.; and several cousins. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at the Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford St., Dover, where friends may call one hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorial contributions be sent to the Kent County SPCA, 34 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934.
