Ann Robinson Baird, 65
CENTREVILLE, Md. - Ann Robinson Baird, 65, of Centreville, died Monday, July 13, 2009 at her home. Born Jan. 13, 1944, in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late, Warren "Sheriff" and Margaret "Sweetie" Warren Robinson. She graduated from Cambridge High School 1962 and from Frostburg State University in 1966. In June 1966 she married Warren Jay Baird, Jr. and they have made their home in Centreville since 1967. She was a member of Centreville United Methodist Church, where she served on various committees and was currently serving as a member of the Board of Trustees. She also was a lifelong active member of Alpha Xi Delta National Women's Fraternity, having joined the Gamma Psi Chapter at Frostburg and continuing her membership with the Chesapeake Alumnae Association. She worked as a teacher at Church Hill Elementary School and as a case worker with the Queen Anne's County Department of Social Services. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Baird is survived by a son, David W. Baird and his wife, JoAnn of Milford, Del.; granddaughters, Libby and Abby; a sister, Susan Robinson of Cambridge; and a brother, Robert G. Robinson and his wife Barbara of Chesapeake, Va. She is also survived by her mother-in law, Lydia H. Baird of Claymont, Del.; sister-in-law, Shirley Hornyak and her husband Steve of Wilmington, Del.; and her nieces, Margie Robinson, Mandie Robinson, Anna Robinson and Stacey Hornyak. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today, July 16, at the Centreville United Methodist Church, Centreville.
