Amy E. Oechsler, 87

CAMDEN-WYOMING - Amy E. Oechsler of Willow Grove Road, Camden/Wyoming, passed away Thursday March 15, 2007, in BayHealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 87.

She was born on March 1, 1920, in Sandtown to the late Alvin and Mabel Kemp Hughes Sr.

She worked at Richards and Robbins and then Underwood for many years.

She loved animals.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Oechsler; brother, Alvin Hughes; and her sister, Dorothy Hughes.

She is survived by two sons, Gilbert Oechsler Jr. and William Oechsler, both of Wyoming; a daughter, Freida Woods of Camden; two brothers, Willard Hughes of Dover and Eugene Hughes of Sandtown; four sisters, Francies Hurd of Wyoming, Loretta Poore of Dover, Eva Dill of Wyoming and Pauline Tatman of Harrington; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Remembrances services will be Monday at noon in Trader Funeral Home, Dover, where friends may call one hour prior.

Burial will be at Mount Olive Cemetery, Sandtown.

The family requests that memorial contributions be given to American Heart Association, 1151 Walker Road, Suite 202, Dover, DE 19904.
