Amanda Lynne 'Missy' Rose, 20

CLAYTON - Amanda Lynne "Missy" Rose of Clayton, passed away suddenly Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007. She was 20.

Amanda was born Feb. 2, 1987, in Dover, the daughter of Gordon E. Rose Jr. and Lynne Gill Rose.

She worked as a presenter for McDonald's Restaurant in Dover.

Amanda was a class of 2005 graduate of Smyrna High School.

Her hobbies included writing poetry, camping, boating, crafts and playing with her niece and nephew.

She enjoyed watching TV and her favorite shows were "CSI," "Guiding Light" and "Lifetime TV."

Amanda was also an avid sports fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies and Miami Dolphins.

She loved going to the Smyrna Opera House and watching her cousin Sean Ervin perform.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, James N. Gill Sr. and Ruth A. Gill; her great-grandmother, Hallie Lee; and an aunt, R. Ellen McNabb.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two brothers, Joseph P. Rose and his wife Niki Blevins-Rose of Clayton and Tristan E. Rose and his girlfriend Chana Schmiesing both of Smyrna,; her paternal grandparents, Gordon E. Rose Sr. and Malinda Rose of Clayton; her niece and nephew, Olivia A. and Joseph P. Rose Jr., both of Clayton; her best friend, Nicole Kenton of Dover and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 S. Main St., Smyrna, where friends may call one hour prior.

Burial will be private.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the funeral home to defray expenses.
