Alma Ruth Farmer died May 18, 2013. She was born on July 7, 1935 in rural Purdy, Mo. to Henry and Susan Alma Ferguson. She married Charles Farmer of Moran, Kansas. Ruth was an honored retiree of Westar Energy who enjoyed many activities but especially love counted cross stitch having won several ribbons at Kansas Fairs. She was an active volunteer in her church and other organizations including the Harrington Senior Center and Red Hatters. She is survive by children, Charles Jr. of Altoona, Ala., Robert E. of Harrington Del., Catherine Morgan of Walnut Creek, Calif., and Robert II of Wichita, Kansas; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one step brother; and two half-siblings. She was predeceased by her husband; her parents; and infant brother; step-mother; and two step-siblings. Memorial to be held in Kansas at a time to be determined.
