Alice Louise Shoupe

DOVER - Alice Louise Shoupe of Dover passed away, Mon., Jul. 20, 2015 at home. Mrs. Shoupe was born Jul. 29, 1923 in New Palestine, Illinois to the late Homer N. Harmon and Louise Frances Goebel Harmon. She served in the United States Navy for 2½ years as a Pharmacists Mate. After the service she worked as a beautician before becoming a full time homemaker. She enjoyed drawing, painting and was an excellent seamstress. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest William Shoupe, 2006; son, Steven Forrest Shoupe, 2006. She is survived by daughters, Lynda Carson-Fizer and Patricia "Patty" Westfall both of Dover; sister, Doris Bonilla of Cleveland, Tenn.; grandchildren, Sarah Milton, Karen Irvine, Jennifer Westcott and Stephanie Lehane; ten great-grandchildren; caregivers, Donna Jean Wallace and Amanda Mowbray. Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Mon., Jul. 27, 2015 at Torbert Funeral chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park.
