MILLSBORO - Alice L. Patterson, of Millsboro, died Monday, June 16, 2008, in Felton, at the home of her daughter. She was 76.
She was born in Philadelphia to the late Lawrence D. and Emma C. Smiley.
Mrs. Patterson was a homemaker who took great pride in raising her family.
Her leisure time consisted of reading books, putting together puzzles, walking in Cape Henlopen State Park with her dog Peaches, and walking with her husband at the beach and fishing.
Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by her loving husband, Samuel L. Patterson.
She is survived by her daughter, Christine A. Patterson of Felton; sons and their wives, Russell L. and Valerie Patterson of Olney, Md., and Kenneth S. and Ruth Patterson of Mesa, Ariz.; adopted daughter, Elaine S. Livezey of Felton; sister, Ruth Pattinson of Millsboro; and four grandchildren, Scott, Ashley, Keith and Erica.
Services and interment will be private.
Instead of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Highway, Dover, DE 19901, in Alice's name.
Arrangements are by the Melvin Funeral Home, Harrington.
