HARTLY - Alexis J. Gingerich, of Hartly, died Friday, Aug. 27, 2010. She was 8 years old. She was born Feb. 21, 2002, to Jason Ryan Gingerich and Stephanie Ballinger. Lexi had just started the 3rd grade at Allen Freer Elementary School. She enjoyed dancing especially ballet, reading, singing, doing crafts and hunting with her father. Lexi loved shopping, stuffed animals and taking pictures and videos. She was a very gracious child and loved being with her family and her two dogs, Keira and Fetch. Lexi attended Calvary Assembly of God Church, Hope United Methodist Church and Maranatha Church on Deertrack Lane. She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Cristi Gingerich. Lexi is survived by her father, Jason Gingerich of Hartly; her mother, Stephanie Ballinger of Dover; grandparents, Stephen and Valerie Ballinger of Dover, Raymond and Rebecca Gingerich of Dover, Mom Mom Norma and Pop Pop Jimmy of Camden; great-grandmother, Sarah Gingerich of Dover; step-sisters, Kassidy and Emily Schaffner of Hartly; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be noon, Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon. Interment will be at Sharon Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S.
