LAUREL - Addison E. Carey, Jr. age 60, of Laurel, passed away on August 17, 2016 in his home. Addison was born in Seaford, a son of the late Addison E. Carey, Sr. and Doris Ellingsworth Carey. Addison was a self-employed painter. He was a talented guitar player and a "jack of all trades". Addison is survived by his wife of 43 years, Nancy Carey, of Laurel; a daughter, Crystal O'Neal, of Laurel; a sister, Gloria Absher, of Laurel; 5 grandchildren, Brandon, Tyler, Christiana, Allison, Pamela and Cameron; a great granddaughter, Amethyst. A funeral service will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, August, 23, 2016, at the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, 700 West St., Laurel, DE 19956. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Mr. Ray Absher will officiate. Interment will follow in Roxanna Cemetery.
