Ada Lillian Dougherty

SMYRNA - Ada Lillian Dougherty passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, Jun. 23, 2017.
She was born Aug. 14, 1945, in Elkton, Md., the daughter of the late Walter and Zelma Miller.
Ada loved Elvis Pressley, John Wayne and her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Joseph Dougherty, Jr.
She is survived by her sons, Arthur Christensen (Barbara), Harvey Christensen (Kathy), Alfred Dougherty, III "A.J.," Edward Dougherty (Beverly) and John Eckeard (Nikki); her daughter, Melissa "Missy" Eckeard; 15 grandchildren; her sister, Mary; her brothers, Bill, Joe and Jimmy; her caretaker, Patricia Ebright; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Jun. 29, 2017, at the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main Street in Smyrna. Memorial services will begin at 6 p.m.
Burial will be private.
