DOVER - A. Mae Snyder of Dover passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 77.
She was born in Acme, Pa., daughter of the late Charles and Erna Brown Snyder.
Ms. Snyder was employed for many years as a home health care aide.
She enjoyed fishing, gardening, camping, quilting and music, and had a great love of the outdoors.
Ms. Snyder had a great sense of humor and will be remembered as a generous and caring person.
She especially loved spending time with her family, and was proud of the fact that she independently raised her four children.
She is survived by three sons, Thomas Wayne Boring and his wife Pat, and James H. Boring, all of Clarksville, Tenn., and Charles P. Boring of Newark; a daughter, Charlotte Stepnowski and her husband Stan of Dover; two brothers, Clyde and Curtis Snyder, both of Acme; three sisters, Janet Kalp of Acme, Hazel Hoffer of Scottdale, Pa., and Martha Brock of Raeford, N.C.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be 8 p.m. Friday in Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, where friends may call at 6 p.m.
Interment will be private.
Instead of flowers, contributions may be sent to either the American Lung Association, 1021 Gilpin Ave., Suite 202, Wilmington, DE 19806; or the American Diabetes Association, 100 W. 10th St., Suite 1002, Wilmington, DE 19801.
