Mrs. Mariani was born Jan. 13, 1938 in Brooklyn, N.Y. and grew up in Minnesota where she was a diehard Vikings fan. She was a waitress at the Coral Reef and Village Inn and enjoyed selling Avon, spending time with friends, gardening; reading, watching Jeopardy, crossword puzzles and hosting family get togethers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Arnie; her son, John; and her grandson, Michael. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Andy L. Mariani, Jr. of Kitts Hummock; sons, Robert Henrich and his wife Kelli of Dover, Mike Henrich and his wife Pam of Felton, and Chuck Henrich and his girlfriend Donna of Dover; brothers, Brad Bassett of Washington State, Glenn "Buzzy" Bassett of Duluth, Minn.; and twin sister, Beverly Lunde of Duluth, Minn.; five grandchildren, Kristen, Heather, Nicholas, Sarah and Aaron; and six great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. She was a friend and mother to all. Memorial services will be held at noon on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover.
