Wilson 'Willie' H. Austin, 80

MAGNOLIA - Wilson "Willie" H. Austin, of Magnolia, passed away Monday, April 7, 2008, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 80.

He was born Nov. 15, 1927, in Chichester, Pa., to the late Henry and Delema (Morris) Austin.

Willie worked for the city of Dover in the maintenance department for many years.

He also worked as a baitman on fishing party boats out of Bowers Beach.

Willie also worked as a greeter for a short time at Wal-Mart in Camden.

He enjoyed fishing, bowling and gardening.

Willie was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen L. Austin, in 1990; his second wife, Sandra Ann Austin, in 2006; and a brother, Walter James Austin.

He is survived by his stepdaughters and their husbands, Alice and Frank Kesselring of Camden and Betty Jane and Paul Tomsich of Courtland, Ohio; a brother, Clarence Austin of Victoria, Texas; his sisters, Pearl Johnson of Felton and Ruth Clarke of Magnolia,; seven grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Remembrance services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Trader Funeral Home, Dover, where friends may call beginning at noon.

Interment will be private.
