Willie M. Taylor, 62

MILLSBORO - Willie M. Taylor of Millsboro died Thursday, June 28, 2007, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. He was 62.

Mr. Taylor was the former owner of Tri-State Mobile Home Supply for 22 years.

He was a U.S. Army Vet, serving in Vietnam.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 24, Dagsboro. He was in the Virginia National Guard for 12 years before moving to Delaware. He was a former member of the Millsboro Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club, and F.O.P. Auxiliary.

Mr. Taylor enjoyed having cookouts and cooking. He loved animals, including his favorites, Pugs. He was a very generous person who was always willing to lend a hand.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Quinnie Grimsly Taylor; and a brother, Frank Taylor.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Patricia L. Taylor; his children, Joe Taylor and wife Mary of Cheraw, S.C., Rev. Robert L. Smith and wife Patricia of Cleveland, Tenn., Ronald L. Smith and wife Etta of Lynchburg, Va., Ricky L. Smith and wife Debra of Monroe, Va., Rayna Low and husband David of Hoffman Estates, Ill., Raymie L. Miller and husband Roger of Millsboro, Sara A. Zarea of Mesa, Ariz.; a brother, Gerald Taylor, and wife Rena of Florence S.C.; sisters, Ruby Legette, Shelby Watts, Eva Mae Gaddy and Doris Emanuel, all of Dillon, S.C.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m. in Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington St., Millsboro.

Services will be 3 p.m. Monday in the funeral home, where friends may call one hour earlier.

Burial will be private.

Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tunnel Cancer Center, 424 Savannah Road, Lewes, DE 19958.
