DOVER - Corp. William Woodall, of Dover, died Wednesday, August 11, 2010, at home. He was 62. Mr. Woodall was born May 28, 1948, in Elkton, Md., to the late William Ridgway and Nomia Woodall. He was raised by his grandmother Caroline Ridgway and loved to work on the family farm. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1968 till 1974 serving during the Vietnam War. After the service he worked in the construction industry. Mr. Woodall loved to show pictures and talk about his time in the Marines and would spend time with fellow veterans. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and also enjoyed model trains. Mr. Woodall is survived by his son, William E. Johnson and his wife Carrie of Dover; his daughter, Megan Ann Johnson of Dover; his brother, Mikey L. Ridgway of Smyrna; his sister, Lillian "Sam" Freeman of Sandtown; grandchildren, JT, William, Erica Johnson , and Noah Jackson all of Dover. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, August 16, 2010, at Immanuel Union United Methodist Church, 756 Main Street, Cheswold. Friends may call from 6 to 8 Sunday evening at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Interment will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover, DE 19904 to help defray the cost of the funeral. Letters of condolence may be sent and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
