William V. Kaier

GEORGETOWN - William V. Kaier passed away on Friday, Jan. 29, 2016 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. He was born in Oneida, NY the son of the late George W. and Eva (Veiling) Kaier. He was a Food Inspector for the FDA retiring in 1999. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Georgetown. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge and Elks Lodge in Oneida, NY. He enjoyed barbequing and was a history buff. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Jane Costanzo and Carol Kaier. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kathleen (Gancasz) Kaier; 2 children, Gary Kaier and his wife Kathi of Lewes, and Tammie Lovenguth and her husband Shawn of Ellendale; Sister, Cecelia Kaier of Canastota, NY; 4 grandchildren, William and Wyatt Kaier and Chase and Ethan Lovenguth. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 5, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Michael the Arch Angel Catholic Church, 202 Edward Street, Georgetown, DE. Visitation will be held Thursday night from 6 to 8 pm in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown. Burial will be at Reynolds Cemetery, Milton.
