William Thomas 'Bill' Russum, 54
STOW, Ohio - William Thomas "Bill" Russum of Stow, who lived most of his life in Dover, Del., died suddenly Monday, Jan. 1, 2007, in his home. He was 54.
Mr. Russum proudly served in the U.S. Air Force.
He worked most of his life as trade carpenter.
Mr. Russum loved to photograph wildlife and nature at local wildlife reserves in Delaware and Ohio. He was an excellent guitar player and could play any stringed instrument by ear. He loved to build motorized model airplanes and was a member of local hobby clubs. His family and friends played an important role in his life and he missed living in Delaware and being close to his friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Howard Russum; his stepfather, Woodall Freeman; and his beloved brother, Tony C. Russum.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Russum; a son, William "Billy" D. Sokol of Pennsylvania; his mother, E. Marcie Mast of Dover; two sisters, Mary Lou Poliseno and Susie (Bollman) Russum, both of Dover; and an extended family of grandchildren, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in the Christian Life Center, 614 S. DuPont Highway, Dover.
Burial will be 1 p.m. Friday in Sharon Hill Cemetery, Forrest Avenue, Dover.
Fellowship will follow in the center.
