CAMDEN - William T. Spencer passed away of cancer Thursday, May 26, 2011, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 67. William was born on March 25, 1944, in Craigsville, W.Va., son of the late Walter and Donna (Gibson) Spencer. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He then worked as a salesman for Culligan for 16 years. William enjoyed golfing, gardening and reading. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Catherine Spencer; two daughters, Victoria Moser of Felton, and Stephanie Dalecki of Camden; siblings, Judy Amos of Craigsville, W.Va., Rachel Adkins of Beverly Hills, Fla., Sylvia Baker of Summersville, W.Va., James Spencer of Dover, Sue Minson of Homossassa, Fla., and Robert Spencer of Cordova, Md.; sister-in-law, Constance Riggi of Galena, Ohio; grandchildren, Tristan Moser, Faith Moser, Corwyn Moser, Hope Moser, Paul Dalecki, and Lance Dalecki; step mother-in-law, Sadie Marker of Dover; step sister-in-law, Charlene Chapall of Frederica; and two step brothers-in-law, David Angstadt, and Frank Angstadt, both of Dover. A memorial service will be 11 a.m., today, Saturday, May 28, at the Faith Community Church, 2240 S. DuPont Hwy., Camden. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Gideons International, Central Delaware Camp, P.O. Box 622, Dover, DE 19903.
