William S. Dubin

Dover - William S. Dubin passed away on June 4, 2018. Mr. Dubin was born in Philadelphia, Pa in 1921 to Joseph and Lillian Dubin.
Mr. Dubin served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. during World War II in the Pacific Theater and was one of the first Americans to enter Hiroshima and Nagasaki after the bombings. After returning home William worked for the Social Security Admn. Prior to settling in Dover with his wife and eldest son in 1950. Mr. Dubin owned a local business, Imperial Liquors for 40 years before retiring in 1993. William had many hobbies including wood working and bowling. He also volunteered for over 25 years at Kent General Hospital accumulating more than 5000 hrs. of service.
He leaves his wife of 75 years, Evelyn L. Dubin; along with three children, David and llse Dubin of Seminole, Fla., Susan and Donald Hutton of Exton, Pa., and Jonathan (Jon) Dubin of Dover; along with seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Relative and friends are invited to attend services followed by Burial on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Delaware Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Bear.
