LAUREL - William Russell "Rusty" Tressler died on Monday, April 18, 2016. He was 37 years old. Rusty was an auditor for TGM Group, Salisbury, Md. Rusty was a 2001 graduate of Clemson University. He was an avid fan of Clemson football, basketball and baseball. He was also a diehard Washington Redskins fan. Win or lose, he was a fan. Rusty loved bowling. He rolled two 300 games in his career. He helped coach Pop Warner football in Laurel, Del. for many years. It was a great passion for him. He also coached football at Laurel Middle and High School. Next to his love of sports and his sports knowledge, was his love for family and friends. Rusty didn't know a stranger. He is survived by his son, Russell Mateo Tressler; stepson, Skyler Chaffinch; girlfriend, Vanessa Cay; his mother and step-father, Pamela Tull-Baynum and James T. Baynum, Jr. of Greenwood; paternal grandfather, Marion Tull, Jr.; aunts, Donna Ford of Seaford, and Lucille Meredith of Sykesville, Md.; an uncle, Jack Johnson of Seaford; and many cousins. He was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Russell and Anna Mae Meredith; paternal grandmother, Bernice "Beanie" Tull; and his father, Dennis Tull. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Clemson University Foundation, P.O. Box 1889, Clemson, SC 29633. Please designate Athletic Dept. or College of Business & Behavioral Sciences, in memory of William Russell "Rusty" Tressler- Class of 2001. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home, Federalsburg, Md. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 22, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Bloomery Cemetery.
