LEWES - William J. Saunders "Jimmy" passed away peacefully June 20th at Beebe Healthcare surrounded by family and friends. Jimmy was the son of Bessie Saunders and the late Lloyd Saunders, who he has been reunited with in heaven. Jimmy was self-employed most of his life either in the flooring or roofing business. He loved to spend time with family and friends. He was the ultimate son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He put the needs of others in front of his own, everyone could count on him. Although always in a good mood, he was happiest out on the water. In addition to his mother, he is survived by the love of his life, Phyllis Saunders; his children, Holly Garay, Rebecca Fisher, and Bryan Jones; 5 grandchildren; 9 brothers and sisters, and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and let us not forget Sadie, Norton, and Keno. A celebration of Jimmy's life will be held Wednesday, July 6th, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Irish Eyes in Lewes. Family and friends are invited to gather to share good times, and great memories in honor of a wonderful man who will be sadly missed by many. Letters of condolence may be made via www.watsonfh.com.
