Laurel - William 'Bill' J. Davis passed away on April 23, 2016, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md. He was born in Philadelphia, Pa., on May 26, 1937. Bill was currently employed as a security guard with Admiral Security at Delmarva Power in Salisbury, Md. Known as 'Captain Davis', he had been a security guard for his entire career, working as head of security for Bridgeport Speedway for 8 years, Bennett Security from 1990 to 2004, and for Treasure Beach RV Campground in Fenwick. Bill was also a Bailiff for Court #4 in Seaford. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Hilda James Davis, of Laurel. He is preceded in death by his sister, Rose Williams and her husband Raymond Williams, Sr. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home 700 West Street, Laurel, DE., 19956. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Pastor Joel Beiler will officiate. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Laurel.
