MILLSBORO - William H. Morse of Millsboro, formerly of Delaware County, Pa., passed away Monday, May 14, 2007, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 76.

Mr. Morse was born in Colwyn, Pa., son of the late Willard and Millicent (Walls) Morse.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, with two years service.

He was a courier for the Bank of Delmar for the past five years, and had been a service manager with RCA for 35 years, retiring in 1987.

Mr. Morse lived for his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He had a love for art and was a professional artist, and enjoyed sports and doing crossword puzzles.

While living in Colwyn, he was actively involved in county politics and city council, serving as president.

Mr. Morse was a member and past president of the Millsboro Art League.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert Morse; a grandson, Jason Morse; two sisters, Millicent Shaw and Dorothy Miller; and a brother, Willard "Elmo" Morse.

His survivors include his wife of 55 years, Josephine Garrity Morse; a son, William Garrity Morse and his wife Loretta of Millsboro; a daughter, Jodi Salerno and her husband Stephen of Townsend; numerous grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, where friends may call after 1 p.m. Burial will be Monday in Arlington Cemetery, 2900 State Road, Drexel Hill, Pa.
