MILFORD - William C. Quillen, of Milford, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009, in Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. He was 83. Mr. Quillen was born in Selbyville, the son of the late William H. and Elizabeth Cullen Quillen. He was a veteran of the Delaware National Guard. He was an electrician for LaVere Electric. He was a member of the Delaware Bay Fisherman and the Milford Skating Senior Walk Club. He enjoyed stock car and go-kart racing and was also a NASCAR Fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Harrington Quillen. He is survived by his daughter, Debbie LaVere and her husband Ron of Milford; adopted daughters, Zee Imhof of Greenwood and Faith Reed of Houston; brother, Ray Quillen of Felton; one grandson, Jason LaVere and his wife Kathy; adopted grandchildren, Thomas Clayton and Joanna Clayton, Jordan Reed and Taylor Reed; niece, Diane Camper of Milford. Funeral Services were Friday, Feb. 20, 2009, in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford. Contributions may be made to American Diabetes Team, Madison's Prayer, make check payable to Madison Dodge, 6530 Decou Dr. Milford, DE 19963 or the Debbie Fund, 794 Canterbury Rd., Milford, DE 19963.
