POTTSTOWN, Pa. - Wayne T. Littleton of Pottstown died Monday, Jan. 1, 2007, in his brother's home, Laurel, Del. He was 71.
Mr. Littleton was born Aug. 21, 1935, in Laurel, son of the late Alton J. and Margaret V. Littleton.
He was a 1953 graduate of Laurel High School, where he was president of his class.
Mr. Littleton was a 1962 graduate of the University of Delaware.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years.
Mr. Littleton was a State Farm claims adjustor. At 65, he retired as an over the road driver for Overnight Transportation Co.
He was an avid fan of the New York Giants and Boston Red Sox. His hobbies were deep sea fishing and traveling.
Mr. Littleton was a member of the Elks Club, Pottstown and the Laurel Alumni Association.
He is survived by his companion of 39 years, Caroline Gondal and her family of Pottstown; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Gene and Sandy Littleton and Craig and Juanita Littleton, all of Laurel; a sister and a brother-in-law, Martha and Chet Taylor of Bethlehem; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, 700 W. St., Laurel.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. The Rev. Kevin English will officiate.
Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Laurel.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, 20167 Office Circle Georgetown, DE 19947; or the Laurel Alumni Association, P.O. Box 382, Laurel, DE 19956.
