Wayne Russell Cheney

DOVER - Wayne Russell Cheney passed away on Sept. 24, 2017.
Born on May 14, 1967 in Dover where he remained a life-long area resident, Wayne had worked as a metal fabricator for the past 17 years at Eagle Group in Clayton, where he had been the recipient of several awards for his excellence and commitment to his job and had been selected Employee of the year in 2006. Wayne's strong work ethics generally followed him home where he enjoyed home improvement projects, grilling, and spending time outdoors.
Wayne was predeceased by his mother, Carolyn M. Pease, of Wentworth, N.H.
He is survived by his loving father, Russell P. Cheney of Hartly; three daughters, Heather Cheney of Felton, Melissa Watson of Harrington, and Rachel Cooper of Guam. Also survived by his two sisters, Kate Hartman and Amy Cheney both of Centerville, Md.; and a granddaughter, Jordan Hand of Felton; and grandson, Ryan Cooper of Guam.
Friends may call Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017 starting at 4:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St. Dover where Services will be held at 7 p.m. Officiating will be Wayne's uncle, Fr. Craig Cheney, of North Stewartstown, N.H. Final Disposition will be private and at the convenience of the family.
