Wayne P. Carroll

Wayne P. Carroll, 59 DOVER - Wayne P. Carroll, 59, of Dover, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010, at Kent General Hospital/Bayhealth in Dover. Born on Feb. 1, 1951, in Wilmington, he was the son of the late Calvin and Helen (Simmons) Carroll. Wayne loved riding his motorcycle, playing the guitar, singing and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Ralph, Eddie, David, and Bobby Carroll and Nancy Taylor, his lifelong loving companion. He is survived by his wife, Virginia "Ginny" Carroll; three daughters, Tina, Carissa, and Stephanie; a son, Gere; four brothers, George, Jimmy, Mike and Ronnie; four sisters, Helen "Sis," Brenda "Reba," Terry, and Patti; and five loving grandchildren, David, William, Ronnie, Alyssa, and Payton. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 24, at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 N. Broad Street, Middletown, where family and friends may visit from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 23 and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday. Interment will follow in Thomas Chapel Cemetery, Marydel.
