SMYRNA - Walter J. Wierzbicki, Sr. went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 10, 2018.
He retired after over 35 years of service as a Union Carpenter from Carpenters Local 626 of New Castle.
Walter is survived by his loving wife, Mildred; his son, Walt, Jr. (Kristine); daughters, Bryna and Sarah (Michael); his step-children, Shirley (Chris), Kasi, Mike (Connie), Darlene (Jimmy), Barbie, Brenda (Curt), and Will; 15 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 South Main Street in Smyrna. Funeral services will begin at 11:30 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear.
