MILFORD - Walter C. Weinhold, Sr., 79, of Milford, died on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, at home. He is the son of the late Harry Weinhold and Lilly Kissenger Weinhold. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jo Ann Holland and three siblings, Gilbert Weinhold, Lena Jarsocrak and Dora Lutz and one Grandson Joey Steward. Mr. Weinhold served in the Marines and worked for Dana Corporation in Reading, Pa., as a welder prior to retiring. He was a member of the Milford Moose and the Milford Elks. He loved gardening. He is survived by a daughter, Linda Steward and a son Walter Weinhold, Jr., both of Reading, Pa.; one sister, Ester Strause; two brothers, Kenny and Clarence Weinhold; and four grandchildren, Jason Steward, Joette Fisher, Crystal Weand, and Erica Weinhold; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 6:30 p.m., Tuesday Aug. 11, in the Chapel of Berry Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front Street, Milford. Friends may call from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Milford Moose Lodge, 20142 Beaver Dam Road, Milford, De 19963.
