BRIDGEVILLE - W. Howard Williamson of Bridgeville died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006, in his home. He was 96.
He was born May 14, 1910, in Puckum, Md., son of the late Clarance and Lillian (Sammons) Williamson.
Mr. Williamson worked at Crown Cork in Brownsville, Texas until 1944 before returning to Bridgeville to work as a farmer, a profession which he pursued for the rest of his life.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sadie who died Dec. 4, 1988.
He is survived by Robert C. Carey Jr., who was like a son to him, and his wife, Bonnie Carey of Bridgeville; Tiffany Short and Katie Carey, who were like granddaughters, both of Bridgeville; a nephew, Fred Foxwell and his wife, Irene of Bridgeville.
Friends may call from noon to 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Williamson Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Federalsburg, Md.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Bloomery Cemetery, Federalsburg. The Rev. Joe LeCates officiating.
Burial will be in Bloomery Cemetery, Federalsburg.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, 20167 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947.
