MILFORD - On March 13, 2017, Vodie Sondej lost her courageous fight against cancer and now is at peace. Vodie has been a resident of Milford, Delaware for 15 years and prior to that a New Jersey resident in Trenton and Sea Girt. She was born on Aug. 16, 1937 in Virginia and is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald.
Vodie was a devoted mother to her children Paul and Victoria. Paul, for years, has been a caregiver to Vodie and also resides in Milford. Her daughter, Victoria resides in Neptune Beach, Fla. Vodie is survived by her children, Paul and Vicki; two sisters, Esther and Lucille; and three grandchildren, Zachary, Connor and Lucas.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Hedwig's Cemetery, Eggerts Crossing Rd., Ewing, N.J.
