Wells, 94 DOVER - Virginia "Jinnie" Wells of Dover passed away Monday, February 2, 2015 at Westminster Village, Dover. She was 94. Mrs. Wells was born June 18, 1920 in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Ridgewood, New Jersey to the late Edgar and Josephine Waldron. She graduated from Blue Ridge College in Westminster, Maryland. She worked for Wright Aeronautical in Patterson, N.J. where she was executive secretary for the president of the company. After moving to Delaware in 1950 she worked for her husband's dental laboratory, Wells Dental Lab. She loved playing cards especially bridge, and played with close friends who called themselves the Munch Bunch. Mrs. Wells was involved in Girl Scouts, the Red Hatters, The Camden Wyoming Round Table Club and the Modern Maturity Center, R.S.V.P. program. She was very involved in her church the Presbyterian Church of Dover, where she was a Deacon, taught Sunday School, and was a member of the Women's Circle #4. Mrs. Wells also enjoyed knitting. Jinnie's loving kind heart and wonderful sense of humor will be truly missed by her family and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lloyd Black Wells; step father who she dearly loved, Hugh L. Smith; and her brother, Edgar Waldron, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Leslie Denny and her husband David, Nancy Parish and her husband Patrick all of Dover; grandchildren, Kathy Denny, Erin Huynh and her husband David, Jason Parish and Amy Lambert and her husband Dale; step brother, Robert Smith; sister-in-law, Annie Hadley and her husband David; and her parakeet, Pepper. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Presbyterian Church of Dover, 54 S. State Street, Dover. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Presbyterian Church of Dover, 54 S. State Street, Dover, DE 19901.
