Virginia P. 'Ginny' Hoffecker, 82
SMYRNA - Virginia P. "Ginny" Hoffecker of Smyrna died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 82.
Mrs. Hoffecker was born March 30, 1924, in Beckley, W. Va., daughter of the late Nora and Arch Meadows.
She was a homemaker who devoted her life to her husband, sons and grandchildren.
Mrs. Hoffecker was a dedicated member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Smyrna, where she co-founded the annual Christmas bazaar. She was also a member of the Citizens Hose Co. Ladies Auxiliary, Smyrna.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, George H. Hoffecker; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ronald Hoffecker and Robert and Sharon Hoffecker, all of Smyrna; a granddaughter, Kristi Wilson and her husband, Mark of Smyrna; two grandsons, Brian Hoffecker of Smyrna and Stephen Hoffecker of Dover; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Asbury United Methodist Church, 20-24 W. Mount Vernon St., Smyrna, where friends may call an hour and one half earlier.
Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Asbury United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 330, Smyrna, DE 19977; or Citizens Hose Co., P.O. Box 97, Smyrna, DE 19977.
