LONG NECK - Virginia M. Collins of Long Neck, formerly of Columbia, Md., passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2007 in Harbor Hospital, Baltimore. She was 85.
Mrs. Collins was born in Newark, N.J., the daughter of the late Alfred Poole and Anna Harrison.
She was a member of Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church, Oak Orchard.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Collins in 2001.
She is survived by five sons, Thomas L. Collins and his wife, Valerie, Joseph H. Collins and his wife, Faye, William A. Collins, John H. Collins and his wife, Jane, and Kevin P. Collins; two daughters, Maureen A. Lengel and Kathleen C. Narango and her husband, Dennis; 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be in Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church, U.S. 24, Millsboro, Tuesday at 11 a.m.
Friends may call Monday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., at Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, Millsboro.
Interment will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Virginia's name be made to Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church, 202 Edward St., Georgetown, DE 19947, or St. Joseph's Nursing Home, 1222 Tugwell Drive, Catonsville, MD 21228.
