Virginia Lee Lewis Casper

HARRINGTON - Virginia Lee Lewis Casper, 74, of Harrington, passed away on June 10, 2015 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. She was born September 18, 1940 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Robert and Mildred (Stapleton) Lewis. She owned and operated the family business, G&B Market, for over 40 years serving and helping the community. She enjoyed reading and doing word search puzzles. She enjoyed spending time with family and spoiling her grandchildren and their dog, Mutt. She loved working in the garden and watching and feeding the birds and squirrels. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Lewis Pommell of Dayton, Ohio. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Fred W. Casper, Jr.; son, Gary W. Casper and wife Caroline of Felton; son, Brian L. Casper of Milford; daughter, Kimberly D. Casper Hendricks and husband Duane of Harrington; sister, Barb Ciani and husband Mike of Ohio; brother, Robert Lewis of Ohio; four grandchildren, Terri Casper and Destinie Casper, both of Dover, Phillip Hendricks and William Seth Hendricks, both of Harrington; one great grandson, Christopher L. Holland, Jr.; and one great grandchild on the way, which she was looking forward to seeing; and a host of nieces and nephews. Services will be private. Arrangements handled by Berry-Short Funeral Home, Felton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
