Virginia L. Massey

Virginia L. Massey, 61

BISHOPVILLE, Md. - Virginia L. Massey of Bishopville, Md. died Monday, May 21, 2007, in Atlantic General Hospital, Berlin, Md. She was 61.

Born in Bishop, Md., she was the daughter of the late Louis H. and Margaret Showell Massey.

She was housekeeper.

She was single all her life, having never married.

She accepted Jesus Christ into her life and went though her illness without any complaint or self-pity.

She was loving and caring, and will be missed dearly.

She always said she would "be alright."

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

She is survived by four sisters, Margaret Massey, Betty Smith, and Grace Massey, all of Berlin, Md. and Barbara Massey of Snow Hill, Md.; one brother, Harvey Smith Sr.; aunt and uncle, Charlie and Virgie Collick; a host of nieces and nephews and lots of friends.

Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Curtis United Methodist Church, Campbelltown Road, Bishopville, Md., where viewing will be held one hour prior to service.

Interment will be in Curtis UMC Cemetery, Bishopville, Md.

Flowers are welcomed.
