DOVER - Virginia "Ginny" Jean Stanley passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021.
Miss Stanley was born on July 11, 1937 to the late Erma (Lapping) Stanley and Lee W. Stanley, Sr. in Dover, Delaware.
Virginia worked as a computer operator for the State of Delaware in the Department of Technology and Information. She was also a lifetime member of the Little Creek Fire Company Ladies Auxillary.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by, her brothers, Lee Stanley Jr., Bill Stanley Sr., Thomas Stanley and Bobby Stanley; and sister, Erma Thompson.
Miss Stanley is survived by lifelong special friend, Joanne Sullivan, of Little Creek; daughters, Donna Walton (Michael) of Greenwood, and Debby Frye (Keith) Dover; four grandchildren, Adrienne Hegman, Richard Bundek, Alan and Kody Frye; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Rd. (Rt. 10), Dover. Friends may gather one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Hwy., Dover, DE 19901 or Little Creek Fire Company, P.O. Box 327, Little Creek, DE 19961.
