Virginia Glanden, 80
FREDERICA - Virginia Glanden, of Frederica, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2008, at Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital. He was 80.
She was born in Frederica, to the late Clifford and Eva Coverdale.
Mrs. Glanden worked for the Delaware Bureau for the Visually Impaired as a director.
In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, antique shopping, and watching bowling.
Mrs. Glanden was family oriented and enjoyed being around her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved to spoil.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William O. Glanden; a son, William H. Glanden and his wife Carolyn of Greenwood; his daughters, Virginia L. Crabtree of Stevenson, Ala., and Susan A. States and her husband David of Wilmington; brothers, Drexel Coverdale of Frederica and Delbert James "Jim" Coverdale of Milford; a sister, Dorothy Stubbs of Milford; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Barratts Chapel Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the Melvin Funeral Home, Harrington.
