Virginia F. Alfieri

LEWES - Virginia F. Alfieri, 100, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2011, at the Harbor Healthcare Center, Lewes. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Teresa (Scoppetti) Salino. She worked many years in the manufacturing of shoes. She enjoyed crocheting and was excellent at her craft. She also was an excellent Italian cook, specializing in eggplant parmesan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Alfieri, in 1962; and five brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Amelia Anzolut; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. Services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to either the American Heart Association, 20771 Professional Park Blvd, Unit 1, Georgetown, DE 19947; or to St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 506 Seabury Avenue, Milford, DE 19963. Arr. by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford.
